How many times does it happen to go to a wine bar and notice the incompetence of whoever is serving you!
Wine too warm and undrinkable, or too cold to the point of numbing every characteristic of the product… not to mention the category of "glass swirlers"… great experts in rotation who strut about flaunting all their class!
The problems in serving/choosing wine
And when you are at home…? A friend arrives and brings some very fresh fish to cook… or some oysters… but you had thought of a red to pair with a succulent roast… and now? How do we serve the wine if it is not at the right temperature?

Has it ever happened to you to have many wines in the cellar, but each guest would like to drink something different?
The solution to please everyone
The solution to these problems is D-Vine, a wine dispenser created by a French start-up founded by three wine-passionate engineers in Nantes (eno-engineers are quite fashionable lately).
Thibaut Jarrousse, Jérôme Pasquet and Luis Da Silva designed a small machine that dispenses wine at the right serving temperature, with the right oxygenation, and founded, in 2012, 10-Vins.
This is not your usual dispenser – it works with small flasks, sealed with a screw cap, à la carte des vins (provided with the D-Vine), and in just sixty seconds the job is done!
The small appliance costs 499 euros; while the cost of the flasks varies, naturally, depending on the type of wine. The product has already been a great success in France and is ready to conquer the States, which will surely be open to embracing this innovation.
Innovation or tradition?
I have painted a picture of the usefulness of this device, which helps reduce serving times and errors, but frankly, the idea of wine in a capsule is really a stretch for me…
Long live the bottle, long live the cork and the discussions to choose the type of wine that pleases everyone… long live the mistakes and the (healthy) swirling of the glass… I am a romantic and that is how I like my wine…
