Lambrusco is in fact a group of grapes (Lambrusco di Sorbara, Salamino, Grasparossa, Maestri). All produce sparkling red wines of an intense violet colour (except Sorbara, which is paler), with sustained acidity and an excellent match for the rich Emilian cuisine (Parmesan, cured meats).
