What to do when you're tired, exhausted, or simply depressed after a long and intense day? Most of us remedy this problem with alcohol or, more simply (season permitting), with a nice ice cream rich in sugar.
Well, Mercer Ice Cream of New York had the brilliant idea of merging these two alternatives into a single and rather bizarre food item: wine ice cream.
Attention, because we are not talking about ice cream ''flavored'' with wine, but a true infusion, created by Mercer, with 5% alcohol content.
The special ice cream is available in six different flavors: Cherry Merlot; Chocolate Cabernet; Port; Peach White Zinfandel; Red Raspberry Chardonnay; Riesling.
Being true ''alcoholic'' products, the ice creams are served only and exclusively to adults. That's right, here is an ice cream forbidden to minors.
