Mark Zuckerberg Celebrates with Italian Wine

On the occasion of Facebook's 10th anniversary (The Facebook was founded on February 4, 2004), WineatWine also pays tribute to the social network by talking about a combination you wouldn't expect: wine and Facebook.

The wine launched in 2012 on Facebook is called Dammisole; produced in the area of San Severo, in the province of Foggia, it is made by Gianfelice d'Alfonso del Sordo and naturally has its own dedicated fan page where you can also discover the most successful food pairings through traditional recipes and the right background music.

Are you curious to know who was the first person to taste it? The answer is obvious: Mark Zuckerberg, the creator of Facebook and a passionate lover of Italian wines.

The young millionaire was in fact sent a case of the "Facebook oriented" moscato bianco which, despite its "technological" and "social" attitude, has a great tradition behind it; it was indeed appreciated by Ferdinando IV di Borbone and has been rediscovered a few years ago by Gianfelice, who planted the grape variety in two new dedicated vineyards.

Marketing, great wine and technology join forces to promote Italian excellence!
Zuckerberg has always been fascinated by Italy, where he decided to celebrate his wedding to Priscilla Chen!

Much has been said about Mark's wedding; certainly the most famous piece of news is linked to the special marital clause according to which the young innovator would be "obligated" to make love at least once a week with his spouse!
Also noteworthy is the choice of date – Zuckerberg married Priscilla the day after the Nasdaq listing, after about 10 years of courtship. The wedding took place as a surprise in front of about a hundred guests who thought they had been invited to celebrate the bride's medical school graduation!

While all this information is by now known to many, few will know some details of the reception held at "Pierluigi", the historic restaurant in Campo de' Fiori, where a strictly vegetarian menu was chosen, featuring tagliolini ai fiori di zucca, carciofi alla romana and mozzarella di bufala Campana Dop.

What did they drink? A Fiano di Avellino presumably from the winery Colli di Lapio di Clelia Romano.
