We return to talk about Antonio Bellicoso, a producer from Montegrosso d'Asti whom we interviewed in the past and whose wines from previous vintages we have reviewed. I went to visit him at the winery to taste the new vintages. We now present the Freisa d'Asti 2013.

Organoleptic analysis
The wine presents a transparent ruby colour, crystalline. When swirled in the glass, it forms narrow arches with tears that descend slowly. A wine of substantial structure.
On the nose it immediately releases very intense floral sensations of violet and hyacinth, followed by fresh red fruits such as cherry and raspberry. Evocative notes of cloves and aromatic herbs then emerge. On the palate, the crunchy tannin from the grape seeds and freshness take centre stage. Long finish.
A Freisa for the whole meal .. the Freisa I would always want to drink.
