Bouquet Tenuta Primavera: a rose without thorns

Around San Severo there are some truly excellent wines!
We had already been there to taste the Gran Cuvée by D'Araprì, and since we are still enthusiastic about it, we decided to put our trust in the sparkling wines of the area!

The wine we are talking about today is Bouquet produced by Tenuta Primavera.
It is a rosé extra dry sparkling wine made from Merlot grapes.
The wine is produced with an early harvest and an almost immediate gentle pressing, followed by fermentation with selected yeasts simultaneous with a brief maceration of the skins.
Sparkling by Charmat method followed by batonnage.

The batonnage is the action that allows the wine's lees to return to the surface through agitation; this practice enables yeast autolysis, which releases parietal mannoproteins into the wine – necessary to promote the binding of phenolic compounds in order to enhance the body of the wine.
The bottle of this wine cannot fail to arouse curiosity, especially if the person looking at it is a woman!
Clear glass that reveals the pale pink color and a label – also transparent – on which the front displays a beautiful red rose and the back a piece of rose stem!

Truly beautiful and captivating! Highly recommended for romantic dinners where you want to impress the woman sitting across from you!
Often behind a carefully crafted label hides a wine that is less than excellent, and that always makes me a little wary!

Despite my prejudice, someone who has already drunk it encourages me to give it a try.
I hesitate a little, but let myself be convinced! Do you want to deprive me of the potential pleasure of being able to criticize the smugness of my interlocutor?

Poured into the glass, the color is "salmon-like" – a soft pink I would call pale.
The perlage is fine and constant; the way the bubbles rise to the surface in the glass foreshadows, in keeping with the label, the presence of an elegant wine.
On the nose, delicate and harmonious, it accompanies light hints of red fruits with notes of minerals and freshly cut grass.
On the palate, savouriness, minerality, freshness and pleasant effervescence confirm the elegance already hinted at before even opening the bottle!

Excellent as an aperitif, it can easily be paired with fish dishes as well.
Personally, I first tried it on an empty stomach, then paired it with a small piece of mixed berry Cheesecake, in order to find a valid alternative to the usual Asti.

I liked it very much and the price is truly accessible: 9–11 euros.

If you want to impress and enchant a woman, go ahead and use it! There is only one risk: if you have no intention of getting married in the near future, be gallant and always be the one to pour it! You never know – it might have the same effect as the bouquet thrown by brides!
