Arneis ("little rascal" in Piedmontese dialect, for its difficulty of cultivation) is the native white grape of Roero. It is the basis of Roero Arneis DOCG. It produces wines of a straw colour, with an aromatic profile of pear, white peach, acacia flowers, a slight herbaceous note and minerality.
