Historic estate of the Boncompagni Ludovisi family on the Appia Antica, where in the 1940s Prince Alberico launched a pioneering Bordeaux-style and organic viticulture, decades ahead of common practice. Twelve hectares under vine out of 200 total, planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Semillon and Malvasia. Fiorano Rosso and Fiorano Bianco remain cult bottlings and cultural reference points for Lazio wine.
