Nero di Troia is the elegant red grape of northern Apulia: fine tannins, a complex aromatic profile, the basis of Castel del Monte DOCG.

Characteristics and history

Nero di Troia (or Uva di Troia) is grown in northern Apulia (Daunia, Murgia). It produces wines of intense colour, fine tannins, sustained acidity and a profile of cherry, redcurrant and spices. It is the basis of Castel del Monte Nero di Troia Riserva DOCG.
